While trying to figure out how the Drop Task calculations I noticed that there can be a big debate on who is the better pilot. One that wins tasks or one that has a very good consistency. Here is the results of all the pilots after 5 tasks if there was no drop tasks.

Thank for sharing this ! I guess that it wasn't a secret that French Star Jean-Marc Caron is always averaging very well.
However and if I remember well, I guess the World Cup Association already clearly choosed his side about this philosophical question :
Who's the better ? The pilot who's averaging well, or the front leader / winner that do sometimes bomb out.
And it was agreed that the World Cup will encourage offensive pilots rather than conservative one. Of course there is many reasons why. As any philosophical question, there's no right and wrong here... Just choices and judgements. We shouldn't try to convince each others on those kind of topics, it's not going to work ;-)
Leading bonus system, discards (or current FTV) are a set of tools that the association invented and is now using in order to reward pilots that choose being offensive, creative and that can encourage trying something spectacular and fun rather than just follow the stack (or the Swiss) during a race.
This is the current orientation and can change according to the world cup pilots wishes.

누가 더 나은가? 평균이 좋은 비행자인가, 또는 앞서 나가는 개척자 / 승자 이지만 가끔은 쫄을 까는 선수인가?
그리고, 이에 대해서는 PWCA는 보수적 비행자보다 공격적 비행자를 더 장려하는 것으로 동의가 이루어졌습니다. 물론 그래야할 많은 이유가 있습니다. 많은 철학적 문제처럼, 이것에 대해서는 정답은 없습니다... 단지 선택과 판단이 있을 뿐. 우리는 그러한 문제에 대해 상대방에 대해 뜻을 강요해서는 안될 것입니다, ★it's not going to work ;-) 는 무슨 소린지 확실히 번역이 어렵네요.
리딩 보너스 제도, 버리기 (or current FTV ★ FTV 가 뭔지 모르겠음) 는 협회가 고안한 방식으로서 공격적, 창조적인 비행자를 우대하고 안전빵(★ stack 의 의미가 정확히 뭔지 모르겠는데 문맥상 이뜻, or the Swiss 도 같은 뜻인 것 같은데 왜 그런지는 모르겠습니다.) 보다는 구경거리가 되고 재미있는 경기를 장려하게 됩니다.
이것이 현재의 방향성이고 월드컵 선수들의 의사에 따라 바뀔 수 있습니다.
